The surf, sand and a whole lot of FUN!!! PART 4

Hope by now you have read Part III

The remaining four of us decided to Go Back to Anjuna Beach since we had another schoolfriend over there. I can honestly say that not only was it the cheapest New Year’s Eve celebration I’ve ever had, but also one of the best. The entry was free, all we had to pay for was the food.

@New Year’s Eve: After spending much time deciding what to do, we decided to head to Anjuna Beach and grab some grub at Curlies. The Last Time I Had Been to Curlies was in 2008 and I really thought it was close from where we parked our bikes. Turns out it’s near the end of the beach and after hearing thousands of insults from the other four we finally landed up at the Russian owned shack. One of the best items that we ordered was the calamari. It was deep fried in oil and so delicious that we all decided to have two more plates of it.

Grabbing a bite to eat at one of the restaurants

There was even a semi-drunk girl who was dancing on top of table along with the disco lights from the beach shining in the sky. Now that was a sight!

Once we returned back home we were all deciding what we should do for New Year’s Day. At first we thought we would go clubbing to Tito’s, but unfortunately it was quite expensive. Since Siddharth had to go and catch up with a couple of the buddies of his, the remaining four of us decided to Go Back to Anjuna Beach since we had another schoolfriend over there. I can honestly say that not only was it the cheapest New Year’s Eve celebration I’ve ever had, but also one of the best. The entry was free, all we had to pay for was the food. There was even a semi-drunk girl who was dancing on top of table along with the disco lights from the beach shining in the sky. At midnight, everyone wished everyone else a happy New Year to ring in the year 2013. Finally after drowning off the last tequila shots and escaping the high tide, we reached back home to bring to an end yet another eventful day.

When we left the next day (after an unbelievable shopping spree at Mapusa Market), we knew that this was one unforgettable trip filled with memories, laughter and a little bit of weirdness!

Taking in the sand & sights on the lovely beaches

On the way back home after an epic journey!
